During the ongoing lockdown for the Covid-19 pandemic, our practice has been closed, except for urgent or emergency treatments

From Tuesday May 19th, in line with updated advice from the Irish Government, we plan to reopen and provide more routine and ongoing treatment.

When we return the safety of our staff and patients is paramount. We will adhere to all national guidelines and follow international best practice to minimise the risk of spreading the Cov-Sars 2 virus. In line with this we have managed to procure appropriate PPE for use by our staff during treatment.
Obviously, there will also need to be some changes to our usual practice protocols.

  1. Only patients with confirmed appointments will be seen.
  2. Patients will be contacted by phone 2-3 days prior to an appointment to be triaged and questioned on their recent medical history. This will be repeated
  3. at the appointment.3) All patients will have a temperature check within the practice. Anybody with an increased temperature will have their treatment deferred that day and rescheduled.
  4. Due to social distancing obligations, we ask that patients attend for appointments on their own. In the case of children, they should be accompanied by only one parent/guardian
  5. Appointment times may be of a longer duration than normal due to the extra precautions to be taken
  6. Due to the cost of PPE procurement and extra appointment time needed, some treatment costs may increase.
  7. If you have any queries regarding your treatment or wish to make an appointment please contact us at the Dock Road practice (091 569110) or the Galway Clinic practice (091 720045)
